まず、ペットが亡くなった後に硬直が始まっていない場合は、やさしく手足を曲げて姿勢を整えてあげると良いでしょう。無理に曲げる必要はありませんが、自然な形に整えていただければと思います。その後、柔らかいブラシで毛並みを整え、湿らせたガーゼで遺体を清めてあげると、最期の姿をきれいに保つことができます。

次に、安置用の入れ物の底にペットシートを敷き、その上にペットを寝かせます。火葬までの時間が空く場合には、鼻や肛門に綿を詰めて、体液漏れを防ぐことも考慮してください。お腹や頭の周辺には保冷剤を使用しますが、保冷剤はタオルで包み、水分が直接遺体に触れないようにご注意ください。

また、お花やおやつ、お手紙を用意することは、最後にペットと思い出深い時間を過ごすための一助となります。火葬の日程について特に決まりはありませんが、一晩はペットとのお別れの時間を持つことをお勧めします。ご家族の心が落ち着かれた後で、日程を決めていただければと思います。

We are here to help your beloved pet pass away peacefully. When a pet passes away, alongside the pain in your heart, you may often feel unsure of what to do and become flustered. As a guide for such times, we would like to introduce you to the appropriate methods for keeping your pet's body.

First, if rigor mortis has not begun after your pet has passed, it is good to gently bend their limbs to arrange their posture. There is no need to force the limbs, but it would be appreciated if you could arrange them in a natural position. Afterward, smooth their fur with a soft brush and cleanse their body with a damp gauze to keep their appearance beautiful for their final moments.

Next, lay a pet sheet at the bottom of the container for keeping the body, and lay your pet on top of it. If there will be a gap of time before the cremation, please consider placing cotton in the nose and anus to prevent leakage of bodily fluids. Use cooling packs around the abdomen and head, but please wrap the cooling packs in a towel and make sure moisture does not touch the body directly.

Also, preparing flowers, treats, or letters can help you spend a memorable time with your pet for the last time. There is no particular rule about when the cremation should be, but we recommend that you take at least one night to say goodbye to your pet. After your family has come to terms with the loss, please decide on the schedule at your own pace.
